Neideck 1000 (29/12/2017)

"Neideck 1000" is a trail that connects the Wiesenttal highlights and collects altitude difference: 1000m up/down on 22km almost exclusively on dirt roads and trails. Sounds perfect if you want to test if you are able to run half-marathon distance for the first time, doesn't it?
The trail is well signposted, we had to check the map only a few times. Trail conditions were partly very muddy and required attention especially on the downhills but mostly runnable. We managed to run almost everything (some walking on very slippery sections and on the last last ascents) and were happy to finish the 22km in about 3:40. Longest distance and longest time running yet counts more than the time (the record is impressive 1:53).
