"Neideck 1000" is a trail that connects the Wiesenttal highlights and collects altitude difference: 1000m up/down on 22km almost exclusively on dirt roads and trails. Sounds perfect if you want to test if you are able to run half-marathon distance for the first time, doesn't it?

This time we did not travel south but had a very relaxed Christmas vacation back home in Franconia. Boxing day was luckily dry enough to climb a particular rock/route although chilly. Afterwards, we had mulled wine after our special roman recipe and Christmas cookies at the summit cross together with Bini's family. Our personal Franconian Christmas tradition.
